ARTICLE 12  SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES

In determining an OCETF member's salary, the Statements of Evaluation provided by QECO to individual members are the only statements acceptable for verification of category placement. These Statements of Evaluation shall be based upon the Teachers' Qualifications Evaluation Program 5 and must be submitted to the Human Resources Officer (Academic) for a change in category placement to receive the adjustment.

It is essential to note that newly hired teachers will be paid at A-1, year 0 until documentation is complete. Adjustments shall be retroactive within the school year during which acceptable documentation is received. The Board shall inform in writing all newly hired teachers of this provision within two (2) weeks of date of hire.

Part-time teachers covered by this collective agreement, shall be paid as per placement on the salary schedule, on the basis of the percentage of time spent in teaching.

12.02 Part-time Teachers

(a) Part-time Teachers covered by this collective agreement, shall be paid as per placement on the salary schedule, on the basis of the percentage of time spent in teaching.    

(b)    Part-time Teachers who are requested by the Principal or designate to attend professional activity days, and do attend those activities, shall be paid at the daily applicable rate for the portion of the day that is beyond their regular teaching assignment.
